Juice bar is open
The Willy North juice bar is now open. We offer coffee drinks, hot tea, iced tea, fresh juices (including made-to-order juices), smoothies, special seasonal beverages, and wheatgrass, parsley and ginger shots. The made-to-order sandwich station is expected to open by the end of May, and will start with cold sandwiches, eventually offering hot sandwiches.

More than a grocery store
Willy North is more than just a grocery store: we’re a community resource. We offer tours of our store, classes and donations to events held by local nonprofits and more. Visit willystreet.coop and click on the community tab for more information, stop by the customer service desk, or talk to Jianofer Fields, Willy North’s new co-op services coordinator.

Kudos for our meat department
We’ve received some wonderful compliments on our meat and seafood departments and can’t resist sharing them:

“I’d like to share that I had a very positive experience at the Co-op today. Chad in the meat department was super helpful and his co-worker was very friendly and helpful with my questions.”

“The quality level of the whole meat and fish department is amazingly high. I think the workers there really care about their work and it shows! Always a beautiful display. Best in the city!”

“Chad and Shawn in fish/seafood are brilliant!”

If you eat meat and/or seafood, stop by and check out our selection. For Willy Street Co-op Owners, we have a different sale each week — Thursdays for meat, Fridays for fish.

A few other tidbits
We carry locally grown Voss and West Star plant seedlings and Seed Exchange seed packets. Did you know that as long as they produce something edible, seeds and seedlings are covered by food stamps?

We’ll be grilling out Sunday, June 10, 11 am‒2 pm, weather permitting, with special guest Chef Dan Fox of Fox Heritage Farms. Get a house-made pork sausage or a pulled pork sandwich for $3 each or two for $5. For each item sold, $1 will go to the Northside Planning Council’s Neighborhood Navigator initiative. We hope to see you there.
