Virginia Davis School of Dance is happy to be offering a new class this year — Adapt. Create. Engage. (A.C.E.) — a dance class for children of all ages with different abilities.

While all our regularly scheduled classes are inclusive of abilities and differences, A.C.E. has been created specifically to support students who require a different approach to experiencing the magic of dance. Our new teacher, Sara Wuchte, holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education and has years of experience in dance studios. Sara teaches special education at a Madison elementary school. She is excited to bring this class to our fall schedule.

A.C.E. is designed to support students who are on the autism spectrum, have Down syndrome, cerebral palsy or other physical and/or developmental differences.

“This class will be a safe and encouraging environment for kids of all abilities to create and engage through dance,” Wuchte said.

The Davis family have been innovative business owners on the Northside for generations. The dance studio, located at 2037 Sherman Ave., has been serving Madison for 45 years and continues to offer new and life-changing classes for its students and the community offering classes in a variety of styles, including ballet, tap and jazz. The fall session starts Sept. 14 with newly designed practices for fighting COVID-19.
