This year, for the first time, the Mendota Elementary Community School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Annual Silent Auction and Movie Night will be open to the public. PTO funds support a variety of educational purposes, including field trips, school improvement projects, school and family activities and purchases for unbudgeted classroom items. The Silent Auction is the PTO’s largest fundraiser every year. Last year, the silent auction raised $3,800. The goal is to double that amount this year by extending the invitation to the entire Northside community, adding a number of new and exciting items and providing food and beverages.

“This is a fun, family event to support our local Northside school. There’s something for everybody. You can stay throughout the event while keeping up on your bids for your favorite local items and services, while your kids watch a movie. If you have limited time, you can shop the “Buy Now” or “Give Now” tables which will be new this year,” said Mendota parent and PTO member, Abby Riesen.

There will be a variety of items, including hotel stays, tickets to sporting and music events, restaurant, grocery, and gas station gift cards, health and wellness services, themed baskets, photography services, family activity passes, birthday party packages and many more local goods and services, as well as a 50/50 raffle. “Thanks to the generous support of so many local businesses few in the Dells and even nationwide, we have a lot of desirable items. It will be fun to see people get some great deals while the PTO raises money for our school,” said Riesen.

Mendota Elementary PTO invites you to the Annual Silent Auction and Movie Night:

  • Mendota Elementary Community School, 4002 School Rd
  • Friday, March 9
  • Doors open at 5:30 pm, auction ends at 6:30 pm
  • 50/50 raffle drawing at 6:45 pm
  • Cash and credit cards accepted

Light snacks will be provided during the auction and movie and additional food and drinks will be available for purchase. Kids are welcome to bring blankets and pillows for the movie.
