Living Every Day group forms

NESCO has formed a group called Living Every Day (LED) for active adults over 50. If you would like more opportunities to socialize, be active or reminisce about the 60s and 70s with your peers, then you will want to attend an LED event. Join your peers for dinner, coffee or winetasting. Go on a group bike ride, join a foursome for golf, or bring your instrument for an informal music jam. For a complete listing of events, find us on Facebook at facebook.com/northeastside senior coalition.

NESCO’s annual Monday evening Summer Concert Series begins June 11, 6‒7:30 pm, at the Warner Park Shelter. Older adults, families and people of all ages gather to enjoy free, live music. This year’s line-up includes The Dang-It’s (June 11), Rachelle and the Red Hot Rattlers (June 18), Angela Puerta Trio (June 25), Ladies Must Swing (July 9), Marcy and the Highlights (July 16) and Universal Sound (July 23). In case of severe weather, July 30 is the make-up date. Grilled brats, hot dogs, veggie dogs, popcorn and root beer floats are available for purchase at the concerts. Transportation is available for senior adults in our service area; call 243-5252 to arrange a ride. Free-will donations are collected during intermission. Additional details are available at nescoinc.org.

It was a busy spring for NESCO. In March we hosted our annual bilingual senior wellness fair for over 200 people. In April NESCO held our Black Tie Bingo fundraiser at Maple Bluff Country Club with over 140 people in attendance. In May NESCO held our annual appreciation luncheon to thank our 343 amazing volunteers. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers and event sponsors for your support. NESCO could not provide the quality of programs and services without you.

Hope to see you at our summer concerts.
