Construction continues at the newest Independent Living, Inc. property, Tennyson Senior Living Community, on Madison’s Northside. The 24 apartments and 36 studios in the assisted living building are on track to open and welcome their first residents in September.

“As construction progresses, you can begin to see these beautiful spaces take shape,” commented Rita Giovannoni, Tennyson Project Development Director. “The building and each of the units have some very unique features that I think residents will enjoy.”

Located less than a mile from Madison Mallards stadium, Warner Park and Lake Mendota, the new property will boast excellent views, and units were designed with that in mind, featuring windows that reach to the floor and allow in lots of natural light.

Spacious walk-in tiled showers have been outfitted with a sliding door instead of a standard swinging door to maximize space. To make laundry more accessible, washer/dryer units have been installed in each of the apartments. Throughout the property, low volatile organic compound (VOC) paint and flooring has been chosen. “We’re committed to creating a healthy and safe community for our residents,” said Giovannoni.

Applications and deposits are being accepted now for the assisted living apartments and the frail elder and memory care studios. Individuals interested in learning more about the Tennyson Senior Living Community can attend one of our free information sessions: Tuesday, June 26, 11 am and 1 pm, and Wednesday, June 27, 11 am and 1 pm, at Warner Park Community Recreation Center.
