Boy Scout Troop 127

Boy Scout Troop 127, chartered at Sherman Avenue Methodist Church, is gearing up for another fantastic week of adventure, fun, sun, swimming and fishing the week of July 29‒Aug. 4. The troop is going to Ed Bryant Scout Reservation near Mauston for the highlight of their active year.

For the weeks and months leading up to camp, the scouts and leaders have been poring over Boy Scout books and mapping their path of adventure. One day will take the boys toward building a tower out of ropes and logs, swimming to an inflated iceberg in the middle of the lake, and fishing on a pontoon boat in the evening. Another group of boys will be in the ecology area collecting and studying amphibians and reptiles. Still others will be in the handicraft area working on a basket or leather shoes. New this year, our older scouts will be able to ride all-terrain vehicles.

There are so many activities available during camp that it is almost impossible to do them all.

If you like fun, adventure and hanging out with guys like you, send an email to either Scoutmaster Justin Sargent (iscuba@sbcglobal.net) or Paul Hughes (psusparks@gmail.com). We look forward to hearing from you.
