You can have an impact: volunteer today

Independent Living, Inc.

No matter how full your schedule may be, there is time to impact your community. Independent Living, Inc. has volunteer options with time commitments as small as five minutes a day, and there are a variety of time slots available.

Volunteers through Independent Living have many choices to serve seniors or adults with disabilities. Deliver Meals on Wheels and pet food, visit homebound people, make telephone reassurance calls, shovel snow, mow lawns or assist with household chores. A category called Volunteer by Design will design opportunities for volunteers who would like to use their special skill or interest. A brand new opportunity is serving as a driver for outings and appointments using a company van.

Are you interested in a volunteer opportunity you and your child can do together? Do you and your colleagues at work want to make a difference?  Independent Living, Inc., a nonprofit organization, is ready to match you with great people and experiences.

Free orientation sessions explain the program and opportunities. Sessions are held Tuesdays at 5:15 pm at 2970 Chapel Valley Rd., Suite 203, Madison. Registration is required. Private orientations are available for individuals who cannot attend a Tuesday orientation.

To start making a difference as a volunteer, call the Volunteer Services Program manager at 268-9641 or email coordinator@independentlivinginc.org
