Virginia Davis School of Dance has enjoyed providing the art of dance to Madison and surrounding communities for four decades. Their mission is to help students develop a strong sense of self-worth, confidence, self-esteem and respect through the art of dance. 

The school is a noncompetitive dance education studio. They do not attend competitions. There are no auditions to join classes. However, their students enjoy many opportunities through their dance education. They dance for their own enjoyment and personal satisfaction. They perform in their high school musicals, dance teams, show choirs and pompom squads. Many students go on to dance in college, and a number of students have majored in dance and pursued careers in the arts. Virginia Davis has taught and mentored former students who have opened their own dance studios.

On July 23 Davis was honored by Chicago National Association of Dance Masters (CNADM) for 50 years of membership and commitment to dance education. CNADM strives to bring students and instructors innovative, current knowledge and material from the best dance teachers in the nation to continue their journey in studying the art of dance. Davis has served on the CNADM board and is nationally respected and recognized for her contributions to dance education for students and teachers. Throughout her career, Davis has shown her professional commitment to CNADM and Dane Masters of Wisconsin (DMW), where she served as past president.

Davis owns and operates Virginia Davis School of Dance with her daughters, Kay Davis Hamielec and Vlyn Davis.
