Summer Day Camp is in the rearview mirror and the Youth Education Development Program is in full-swing. In partnership with the First Tee Program, East Madison Community Center (EMCC) is providing all-day programs to assist students with virtual learning. This program provides meals as well as Alternatives to Violence, multi-cultural arts, environmental science, Positive Options Program, social skills, daily fitness activities and field trips. The program meets each day throughout the semester from 8 am‒3 pm.

The food pantry continues to operate Tuesdays from 11:30 am‒1:30 pm. The walk-up/drive-up model is running smoothly, and we hope to return to the indoor food pantry before the snow flies. Additional volunteers are needed. If you have a few hours available on Tuesdays, please reach out to Regina McConnell at EMCC 608-249-0861.

Adult programs are slowly being re-introduced. The EMCC Computer Lab is open for adults Mondays‒Thursdays from 3:30‒4:30 pm. Call EMCC to make an appointment to use a computer.

The First Impressions Men’s Free Professional Closet is open Monday‒Friday by appointment only.

Adult Bingo and All Ages Bingo are held once a month. Art workshops were introduced in September with a watercolor painting class. Stay tuned for future workshops. Information is available for all programs by calling EMCC at 608-249-0861, on our website (eastmadisoncc.org) and our Facebook page.

The Today Not Tomorrow Family Resource Center Project Babies, located in EMCC, continues to supply diapers, wipes and other baby supplies. Text 608-770-9588 or email outreach@projectbabies.org. A community baby shower is planned for late September/early October and will be pick up/drive through. Contact Project Babies to be added to the list.

The EMCC 24th Annual Bowl-a-Thon is going virtual this year. Each year the community comes together at Dream Lanes to have some fun and support EMCC youth education programs. We have decided to move this event to the virtual realm, so stay tuned for details on our website and Facebook page.
