In March, the Maple Bluff community will welcome a new addition to its monthly reads — Stroll Maple Bluff magazine. Derrick Green, the publisher, describes it as a lifestyle magazine, an umbrella term for popular magazines concerned with lifestyle and everyday life. The aim is to inspire, connect the community, and focus on entertainment and local events to keep readers up-to-date about where they live. The monthly magazine’s personality is a blend of familiar content experiences showcasing profiles on families and business sponsors, reflecting the intention  of being “for the families, by the families.”

In Stroll Maple Bluff, you’ll get to meet the dogs, grow to know the people and discover what’s happening just around the corner in the greater community,” said Green about the content style of the community’s new publication. “It’s a 28-page lifestyle magazine with great photos that pop on the glossy paper telling the stories about the families living in the Bluff.” The village’s population is small, just 1,350 people, and landlocked by the lake and the adjoining north side of Madison.  The Bluff is situated between North Sherman Avenue and Lake Mendota and includes Lakewood Plaza, a small business district on the east side of North Sherman Avenue between NorthGate Shopping Center and Commercial Avenue.

In this digital age, some readers find it  refreshing to have a tactile and immersive reading experience and a publication to hold in your hands, leave on the coffee table and enjoy rereading favorite features. The aesthetics of glossy paper, high-quality printing and captivating design layouts enhance the overall reading eaxperience due to the more visually pleasing and engaging visual appearance. The appearance gives greater impact to the content and helps draw readers inside the covers.

Unlike the Maple Bluff newsletter which covered trash pickup schedules and the like, Stroll Maple Bluff goes beyond practical information, delving into the entertainment and the happenings of the community. The aim is to be a unifying publication, offering a snapshot of living in Maple Bluff that residents can connect and resonate with, fostering a sense of community pride and shared identity. Heartfelt stories, informative features about a local business, a nonprofit in need, or an upcoming event connects residents with their community. Having a magazine dedicated to the neighborhood helps those living there possess a sense of belonging, a purpose and a desire to help be there for each other. That, in turn, helps the community bond and flourish together.

Stroll Maple Bluff also recognizes the importance of supporting local businesses. By providing affordable and effective advertising space, the magazine aims to strengthen the local business community.

Derrick Green, the owner of Beamyville LLC, is the driving force behind Stroll Maple Bluff. His content studios contribute to affordably producing high-quality artistic endeavors for businesses and small content dreamers to ensure a visually pleasing and engaging experience and level of professionalism they couldn’t achieve on their own. “At Beamyville Content Production, we specialize in creating high-quality content that engages your audience. Whether it’s music, videos, social media, u-tube videos, streaming, podcasts, or business-related content, we have the expertise to bring an artist’s or content manager’s ideas to life,” he said.

For businesses interested in advertising in this local publication, Green can be reached at derrick.green@strollmag.com or 608-860-1131.
