MSCR

Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) is proud to offer a variety of recreation programs for all ages, including arts and enrichment, fitness, paddling and boating, sports, soccer and much more.

Staff has worked creatively to offer inside, outside and online programs so customers can choose their comfort level following health and safety policies. To learn more or to register, go to mscr.org.

Adult fitness

Get active with a variety of fitness classes for every level, including Arms and Abs, Core de Force, Pilates and Pure Strength. See our program guide for dates, times and locations. New for fall, LGBTQ+ Yoga — relax your mind, stretch your body and meet new friends.

Adult arts

Fall is the perfect time to learn a new hobby: drawing, painting, knitting, sewing and more. Sewing materials are provided. See our program guide for dates, times and locations. Or join MSCR for a Yoga + Art Workshop Saturday, Oct. 3, 10 am‒1 pm, at MSCR East.

Youth and family arts and enrichment activities

Youth and families can register for many dance and engaging art classes, including intro to bagpipe, campfire building and creative movement, along with traditional favorites like ballet, guitar, jazz, hip-hop, drawing and pottery. Check out Youth Sewing Studio on Tuesdays, Oct. 13‒27, 4‒6 pm, at MSCR East.

Outdoors and nature programs

This is a great chance to engage with nature. Check out Nature Exploration and Orienteering at the School Forest and a Community Climb at the Challenge Course. Explore the local waterways with the paddling and pontoon boat rides.

MSCR offers many recreation programs for all ages that are accessible and affordable. Call 608-204-3000 or visit mscr.org for more information. MSCR is Madison’s public recreation department serving the community since 1926.
