The opportunity to be the “community” in the Mendota Elementary Community School PTO Silent Auction Fundraiser, being held Friday, March 15, from 5–7 pm, is possible due to moving the event to Warner Park Community Recreation Center (WPCRC) this year.

“We greatly appreciate and depend on the generosity and support of the Northside in our fundraising efforts for Mendota Elementary,” said PTO President Chris Elholm. “To make it easier for everyone to participate, the move from the school gym to WPCRC will provide convenient parking, ample space for the silent auction, DJ/live music ensembles and refreshments.”

Over 400 scholars attend Mendota Elementary Community School, located at 4002 School Road, Madison. Funds raised at the silent auction help provide scholar field trips, school/family activities, unbudgeted classroom supplies and school improvement projects not covered by the school district.

There are three ways the Northside can help:

  • Business donations of gift certificates, gift baskets or larger items help to provide a wide array of items to bid on.
  • Donations from Northside residents or businesses in any amount are appreciated. To cover event expenses, sponsorship recognition is available at the $100, $250 and $500 levels.
  • Attend the March 15 event and bid on the auction items.

Please contact Jenny Sydow at jsydow84@gmail.com or call 605-852-1982 by March 1 to donate auction items or be an event sponsor. Your support is greatly appreciated and makes a difference in the quality of education we can provide for Northside scholars.
