Working together for a better tomorrow

My name is Melissa Sargent, and it is my honor to represent you in the Wisconsin State Assembly. I have just been reelected to my fourth term as your state representative, where it’s my job to make sure Wisconsin is prioritizing hardworking people like you. Our state government has faced major challenges over the last eight years, and it is time Wisconsin moves forward. 

I know that when we work together we can build a Wisconsin that works for the many, instead of the few. From my countless conversations with friends, neighbors and business owners in the 48th Assembly District, the message has been loud and clear — you want Wisconsin to be a place where everyone is safe, can reach for their dreams, and where we invest in a better tomorrow. I am proud to come to the Capitol every day ready to roll up my sleeves and work with you, and for us, to build a more equitable Wisconsin together. 

Every few generations, Americans are called upon to renew and redefine the tenets of our nation, the course of our culture, and the promise of our democracy. We face that calling now. We know the enormity of the challenges ahead. The road to progress is long and arduous, but we do not travel without hope. We find resilience in our enduring values, our unyielding spirit and our strength together. I hope you’ll heed the calling and join me in this fight, as I am beyond proud to represent you and the entire 48th Assembly District.
