Preparing to Vote — Wisconsin 2018 Fall General Election Nov. 6
With the Nov. 6 General Election quickly approaching, it is important to be up to date on voting information.

You can head to myvote.wi.gov to search for your polling place, see what’s on the next ballot or learn about absentee voting if you cannot get to your polling place.

Eligible Wisconsin voters who have a current and valid Wisconsin Driver License or Wisconsin State ID card can now register completely online at myvote.wi.gov/en-us/RegisterToVote. If your name, date of birth, Wisconsin Driver License or State ID number, and address all match the information on file with the Wisconsin DMV, you will no longer need to mail or deliver your registration form. To register in person, head to your municipal clerk’s office or register at your polling place on Election Day.

Head to bringitwisconsin.com to make sure you have the proper ID needed to vote. Current acceptable IDs for voting purposes are (unexpired or expired):  A Wisconsin DOT-issued driver license, even if driving privileges are revoked or suspended, a Wisconsin DOT-issued identification card, a Wisconsin DOT-issued identification card or driver license without a photo issued under the religious exemption, military ID card issued by a U.S. uniformed service, a U.S. passport, an ID card issued by a federally recognized Indian tribe in Wisconsin, a photo identification card issued by a Wisconsin accredited university or college that contains date of issuance, signature of student and an expiration date no later than two years after date of issuance. If you need a free ID to vote, take a certified birth certificate, Social Security card and a utility bill to your DMV.
