Madison Starlings held tryouts in October and November, and teams have begun practice. Teams practice twice a week and play from November through April or May. In the past two years, the older teams have traveled to San Diego and Tennessee for tournaments.

Practices are held at locations across Madison, including Warner Park Community Recreation Center, Goodman Community Center, Salvation Army, O’Keeffe Middle School, Wright Middle School, Memorial High School and Life Center church. If you know anyone with more gym space, we need more courts to rent and practice on.

Madison Starlings is a local chapter of a national organization working to decrease the disparities in volleyball for girls and boys. Sports should be accessible to all, and high quality individuals are encouraged to join our team as paid coaches or volunteer staff to support the mission of fun, respect, integrity and the pursuit of excellence regardless of income.

We encourage all youth to consider trying Madison Starlings. We are working to build elementary programs, we seek parents/coaches/leaders to help.

We are looking for experienced community members to mentor our emerging college-age coaches. Experienced coaches in life or sport are needed. Commitment to increasing diversity and access in our community is essential.
