Have you ever wondered what to do if you find an injured animal? Or how wildlife rehabbers care for injured wildlife so they can return to the wild? Learn the answers to these questions and more at the Friends of Cherokee Marsh annual meeting, Saturday, Jan. 12, 10 am–12 pm, at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center, 1625 Northport Dr.

The meeting’s special presentation will be “Wisconsin wildlife rehabilitation: caring for sick and injured animals,” with Jackie Sandberg, Wildlife Rehabilitation Training Coordinator at the Dane County Humane Society’s Wildlife Center. Staff and volunteers at the center help over 4,000 sick, injured and orphaned wild animals every year.

Before the presentation, the Friends of Cherokee Marsh will share recent accomplishments, look forward to the year ahead and elect directors for the coming year.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free event. Refreshments will be provided. The presentation will not include live animals.
