Computers by Appointment

Limited public computing is now offered at Lakeview Library by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call 608-315-5151 (toll free 888-266-7805).

One-hour appointments are available Monday‒Friday, 11 am‒5:30 pm. The last appointment is 5:30‒6:30 pm. Patrons can make a maximum of one appointment per person per day and can make up to two appointments per week. Appointments are staggered to allow time for cleaning and to avoid patrons gathering outside in close proximity.

Madison Public Library is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for both patrons and staff. By limiting the number of computers available, requiring 30 minutes between each appointment for cleaning, and offering limited assistance from 6 feet away, staff and patrons can comply with social distancing recommendations and health and safety best practices. 

Due to limited building capacity, only restrooms and computer areas are open to the public, and food and drink are not allowed. Other areas of the library will remain closed and access to materials checkout and return is available only via curbside service.

Curbside Pickup Service

Curbside pickup service is available by appointment Monday‒Friday, 11 am‒7 pm, and Saturday, 12‒5 pm. Place holds in LINKcat (www.linkcat.info) or call 608-315-5151 (toll free 888-266-7805) for assistance in finding books on our shelves for curbside pickup. Items are not being transferred between libraries.

Curbside Return Service

Curbside returns are accepted at Lakeview Library Monday-‒Friday, 11 am‒7 pm, and Saturday, 12‒5 pm. Items are held for 72 hours before they are checked in, so items returned will take several days to be removed from your library record.

Do you have a question not related to your library card, or specific to using our online collections, like Libby/Overdrive, Wisconsin’s Digital Library (wplc.overdrive.com)? Call the library’s centralized telephone service line at 608-315-5151 (toll free 888-266-7805) Monday-‒Friday, 11 am‒7 pm, and Saturday, 12‒5 pm. Find other online resources — magazines, newspapers, and more — and even apply for a library card online at madisonpubliclibrary.org/at-home.
