Minecraft Club

Grab your friends for multiplayer Minecraft fun at the library. Sign up for 30-minute turns based on attendance. Bring your own computer or use one of ours. Minecraft programming is funded by a gift from the Irwin A. & Robert D. Goodman Foundation.

Drop-in Preschool Storytime

Tabletop Game Club

Bring some friends or join other kids for chess, checkers and other tabletop games. Play our games or bring your favorite one to share. Children under 7 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. No registration is required.

Library LEGO Club

Panels and Pizza: A Graphic Novel Discussion Group

On the fourth Wednesday of each month, join your peers for a meet-up to read and discuss graphic novels. Pizza will be served.

Knitting Circle

Bring your yarn and needles and join the knitters every Wednesday night. Beginners, you can get help on your projects.

Gentle Yoga with Kristin Sage
Mondays, March 26-April 30, 12‒12:45 pm
This mid-day class will focus on gentle movement, breath awareness and building a foundation for a safe yoga practice. Paced for newer students, this class requires students to move from the floor to standing without assistance. Students are encouraged to dress in comfortable clothing and to bring their own yoga mat or a compact blanket. Some mats will be available. Kristin Sage has been teaching yoga classes in Madison for over 15 years and is skilled at helping students find intelligent ways to work with limitations. For more information, visit sageyoga.net. Gentle Talk on Alzheimer’s

Michael Hecht is a Dementia Care Specialist with Skaalen Retirement Services in Stoughton. This is a 45-minute presentation with a question-and-answer period. Topics will include re-directive tools and assisting a caregiver with positive interactive tools.

Learn to Brew Beer at Home

Four high school students discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game’s jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. One-On-One Writing Assistance

Free one-hour sessions for writing help, including resumes, cover letters, online job searches, applications and any creative writing. This program is funded through a grant and staffed by UW Writing Assistance staff. Call 246-4547 to sign up.
