Join us on Wednesdays, Sept. 16‒Dec. 9, from 6‒7:30 pm in the ninth floor lounge at Van Vleck Hall, 480 Lincoln Dr., on top of Bascom Hill on the UW Madison campus. Snacks will be served.

Girls Math Night Out is a free program by the UW Department of Mathematics. It aims to create an inclusive and noncompetitive environment to encourage high school girls to pursue careers in mathematics and the sciences. 

Some past topics have included: Tiling with Domino shapes (basic geometry), fractals (geometry, algebra), cryptography (algebra), epidemics (precalculus, AP calculus AB), and weather modeling with dynamical systems (AP Calculus BC).

To sign up, contact Professor Tullia Dymarz at dymarz@math.wisc.edu no later than Monday, Sept. 14. Please include your name, your high school, your math teacher and the math course you will take in the fall.
