Help kids enjoy Breakfast with Santa Dec. 1

By Lauri Lee
Northside Business Association

Breakfast with Santa is a fun annual event for children to sit on Santa’s lap, receive a goody bag and eat a pancake breakfast with their parents or grandparents. Sponsored by the Northside Business Association (NBA), the event is held at Kavanaugh’s Esquire Club, 2012 N. Sherman Ave., from 8–11 am, Saturday, Dec. 1.

The event is a win-win as the children get to eat a hot breakfast and have fun, and the proceeds help three Northside food pantries. The pancake breakfast includes scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, juice and coffee. Tickets are $6 for ages 12 and up, $4 for ages 3–11 and free for children under age 3. Donations of nonperishable food or personal care items are also being collected.

Tickets are sold to Northsiders who want to help more children and families to eat a hot breakfast and participate in this fun event. The NBA distributes tickets to children through the schools and community so they can join their friends. Advance tickets for donation or the event can be purchased at DuWayne’s Salon, Kavanaugh’s Esquire Club, Old National Bank and The UPS Store.

Mark your calendars and join your neighbors for a great breakfast for a cause. For questions, please contact Steve Nelson at steve@duwaynessalon.com or 241-0323 or Laura Groenier at groiener-laura@silverleaf-inc.com or 242-0707.
