To the editor:

Thank you to our Northside community, Madison Parks and local Friends and Nature groups for coming out in spite of an unusual April snowstorm to help make the Sixth Annual Madison Friends of Urban Nature (FUN) Bird and Nature Festival a success. About 150 people, including lots of kids, enjoyed three Bats Live! shows and other nature activities and exhibits at the Warner Park Rainbow Shelter to celebrate our love of Mother Earth.
