Sherman Ave UMC will host a round table discussion on the morality of marijuana laws June 12. The discussion will take place from 6-7:15 pm and the event is open to the public. Marijuana laws have been salient issues in the US. A wide range of doctorial positions dot the religious, political, and social landscape. The panel will feature State Representative Melissa Sargent, Madison Urban Ministry Executive Director Linda Ketchum, and community activists Cynthia Hart and Caitlin McGahan. The discussion will focus on the state of marijuana laws in the US and explore the disparities that exist within their enforcement. Members of the community are encouraged to attend this event. There will be a community dinner to follow this discussion.
