Big Brothers Big Sisters

My name is Michele and I’m proud to be a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County. I was matched with my Little Sister Sheari last summer and we’ve had a blast spending time together, including making different arts and crafts. Big Brothers Big Sisters supports over 700 children in Dane County each year. These children are at our local parks and schools; they’re part of our community. But another 38 kids in your neighborhood are still waiting for a mentor.

There are 19 boys who are looking for a Big Brother to shoot hoops with, go to the park with and explore Madison with. Another 19 girls are waiting for a Big Sister to talk to and make arts and crafts with, as I do with my Little Sister. These Littles need you to step up to help guide them on their path to success. They are waiting for you.

Our community-based program asks that volunteers meet with their Little three to four times a month. The time and place you meet can be flexible around your schedule. We match you with a Little according to your interests and where you live. If you are interested in going to Badger games, shooting hoops or painting, we have a child in your area who is waiting for you. Help ignite their potential.
