Mendota Elementary will host their second annual community block party Saturday, Aug. 26, from 1–4 pm at Mendota Elementary, 4002 School Road. The block party is a great opportunity for Northside residents to have a great time while learning what resources are available in the community, as well as how everyone can be a part of helping our students, families and community thrive.

There will be free food and refreshments; activities for children, including a bounce house, live animals, face painting and balloon animals; raffles and more. Performances and a disc jockey will be available to keep the celebration going.

Northside organizations will be present to provide families with a wealth of information. Goodwill is hosting a hiring fair at the event for their new Northside location.

Please come out to enjoy this completely free family friendly event. If you would like to contribute to this day, contact the Community School Resource Coordinator Stacy Broach at sdbroach@madison.k12.wi.us.
