The opening of Goodwill Northside Sept. 29 marks the beginning of a welcome new community connection for Goodwill of South Central Wisconsin.

Northside Store Manager Billy Suppes said the Northside neighborhood seems to have embraced the new store and donation center at 2901 N. Sherman Ave. even before it opened.

“We’ve been so pleased by the reaction of our neighbors in the Northside community,” said Suppes. “I think everyone will really enjoy the shopping experience in the new space, and we hope that extends to the neighborhood employees we are hiring as well.”

The new store boasts lots of natural light, which Suppes anticipates will enhance merchandising, showcasing the wide array of gently-used goods that thrifters prize. The new store is a prototype of the refreshed look being planned for all stores in the South Central Wisconsin region.

“There’s definitely a boost in employee morale as stores are updated, and that translates to an improved customer experience,” Suppes added. “We look forward to creating a store that shoppers and donors will enjoy and return to again and again.”

Hours at the new Northside store and donation center are Monday‒Saturday, 9 am‒9 pm, and Sunday, 10 am‒6 pm.
