Ready for grilling season?

We’re gearing up for warmer weather and the return of people looking for something to grill — beef, chicken, portobello mushrooms, peaches (you should try it) and more. Our meat department staff makes a variety of sausages in-house with natural ingredients. Some flavors we have all the time (like our classic bratwurst and chorizo) and some we have only on special occasions (like red bean and rice and supreme pizza). The staff works from 30 different recipes, so you’ll always be able to find something interesting. If you don’t eat meat, we have plenty of meat-free options in our grocery department.

Community mural project

We are working with Dane Arts Mural Arts to paint a mural for the front of the store, and we want to hear which design we should use. Vote June 1‒20 in the Commons (seating area) at Willy North — one vote per person. Then watch for opportunities to help paint the mural if you’re interested. We plan to have the mural installed this October.

What fruits and vegetables should we carry?

Have you stopped at Willy North looking for tomatillos, bitter melon, okra, sugar cane or shishito peppers (or any other fresh produce) and been disappointed that we didn’t have what you were looking for? We’d like to expand our fruit and vegetable offerings at Willy North, but we need your help. In June, you can fill out our survey asking what we should add and submit it in a box in the produce department, or you can fill out the survey on our website (willystreet.coop). In July we’ll go through the requests and make some decisions about what to bring in.
