Madison Chiropractic North will be adding Dr. Robin Beatty, DC, CCSP, to the team in August. “I treat all ages, from infants to the elderly,” Dr. Beatty shared. “I’m a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician with 100 hours of training in sports medicine, which helps people of all ages, not just athletes. I utilize trigger point therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), and also do other muscle and soft tissue work, in addition to chiropractic adjustments.”

Dr. Beatty is married and is the mother of a 2-year-old boy and a baby girl who was born in June. She’ll start part-time Aug. 12 and ramp up her hours to allow Dr. Ross Royster to move closer to retirement in the next year or so.

The journey to a chiropractic career started early for Dr. Beatty. “When I was a young girl, my dad went to the chiropractor. He joked that I should consider becoming one when I grew up so I could treat him someday.” While attending Ripon College, she worked as a student athletic trainer. “With the opioid epidemic, I value the most conservative and least invasive approach to treatment as an alternative for pain meds. During this time, I was impressed by a woman chiropractor who came in to work with the athletes every Wednesday, using just her hands and no fancy equipment to provide them with pain relief. This confirmed for me that I wanted a chiropractic career to be able to help people with their physical pain. I enrolled in a four-year program at the National University of Health Sciences in Illinois. After graduation, I joined this chiropractor’s practice in Green Lake and Wautoma as an associate, working with her for nine years.”

Working with a team of chiropractic doctors is an opportunity Dr. Beatty is looking forward to in order to learn through interesting cases and having access to feedback. “I’m excited to be the first female chiropractor at Madison Chiropractic North and help those who may prefer treatment from a woman.”
