The Madison Parks Division is planning improvements for four playgrounds on the Northside in 2020. They are Brentwood, Sheridan, Whitetail Ridge and Windom Way.

The first opportunity for input from the neighborhoods was a workshop at Lakeview Branch Library Oct. 29. At that meeting, the playground replacement program, budget, equipment manufacturer, age range and surfacing options were discussed. Additional meetings will give you an opportunity to provide your opinion about manufacturer proposals, site plans and amenities such as benches and path connections to sidewalks.

A meeting regarding the Windom Way site will take place Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 6 pm in the library at Sherman Middle School, 1610 Ruskin St.

A meeting about the Whitetail Ridge playground will take place Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 6 pm at Lakeview Elementary Community School, 1802 Tennyson Lane.

A meeting involving the Brentwood and Sheridan Triangle playgrounds will take place Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, at 6 pm at Sherman Middle School, 1610 Ruskin St.

At the October meeting support was given to providing nature play elements, such as log steppers and boulders at Sheridan Triangle Park. Seating would also be added.
