Unemployed? Under-employed? Looking for a career change? The FEED Bakery & Catering Training Program prepares program graduates for careers in food service with hands-on baking instruction, life skills training and job placement services.

The class takes place at FEED Kitchens, 1219 N. Sherman Ave. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings over the course of three months. Students will receive training in a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen facility where they will learn to bake a variety of cookies, breads and pastries. This hands-on training is supplemented by ServSafe classes leading to Food Manager Certification upon successful completion of the class and ServSafe test.

To learn more, contact coordinator Martee Mikalson at coordinator@feedbakery.org or 608-230-1224.

The FEED Bakery Training Program is a job training program of the Northside Planning Council, founded in the fall of 2013 by The River Food Pantry.
