The third installation of the popular Eken Park Festival is back this year Saturday, Aug. 17, from 11 am‒8 pm.

Since its inaugural event in 2017, the Eken Park Festival has quickly become one of the premier Northside summer festivals.

The family friendly event will take place on the 700 block of Mayer Avenue, near the Tip Top Tavern and North Street Cabaret. This year’s festival will feature musical talent from a wide range of genres including: SLAG, Tani Diakite and the Afrofunkstars, November Criminals, BingBong and Los Meskales. The festival will also include a wide range of local food, cold beverages, raffle prizes and events for children all day (including the famous Kids Parade).

For those interested in attending the event, bicycling and public transportation are encouraged (bus lines 4, 5, 10, 27, 29, 56, 57 and the Starkweather Creek Path or Demetral Park Trail).

All are encouraged to attend this year’s festival to celebrate summer and the neighborhood with the Eken Park community.
