St. Patrick’s Day will be a lucky day for those who find treasures at the annual Gompers Elementary School rummage sale. The sale will be held Saturday, March 17, 8 am‒2 pm, in the school’s all-purpose room (cafeteria). Gompers is located at 1502 Wyoming Way.

We expect to have a large variety of household goods, toys, books, clothes and furniture for sale. You can donate items on Friday, March 16, from 8 am‒8 pm at the school. Students do not have classes that day, but the school building will be open.

“The annual rummage sale is one of our favorite events because it’s open to the community,” said Gompers Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization (GEPTO) President Amanda Kruse. “At past sales, we’ve met a number of families whose children attended Gompers and they have fond memories of the school. There’s a tremendous amount of support for our school within the community and we feel grateful for it.”

Proceeds from the rummage sale will be used to support family engagement events, field trip scholarships, classroom requests, teacher and staff appreciation functions and the Gompers playgrounds and garden.
