Jenny wrote, “I nominate Paul and Chris for the North Star award for their involvement and sense of community they’ve built in our North Lake Mendota neighborhood. When my husband, Kyle, and I moved from Chicago four years ago, we were happy to hear about the Halloween parade by a Madison fire truck to kick off trick or treating and an Easter egg hunt held in our neighborhood. We learned that Paul and Chris had created and coordinated these events for 10-plus years. Very quickly we became appreciative for the time they had put in to making our small piece of the Northside feel safe and fun for the kids and families. We continue to look forward to these events year after year with our two young girls. We are proud to be Northsiders knowing there are such great people just a few short blocks away, who help make our community a great place to live.”
