John was nominated by Margo Dixon and Pastor Gerry Kuhnke.

Margo and Pastor Gerry nominated John for donating the use of his restaurant for the annual NBA Breakfast with Santa event and finding vendors to donate food for the event so that more money flows to the food pantries. Over the years, this has resulted in possibly thousands of dollars in extra donations going to those who need it the most. They also recognized John for donating excess food from the Esquire Club and his vendors throughout the year to the food banks as well as ensuring that during the Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, the food pantries receive hams, turkeys and other foods for families in need. John’s efforts contribute to making the Northside a great place to live, work and play.
