The Lerdahl Park Neighborhood Association (LPNA), revitalized last year, has had an exciting few months. Our playground was recently renovated with neighbor input. The new playground was the centerpiece of our Second Annual Picnic in the Park held in September. Children of all ages enjoyed the playground, as well as a fun raffle. We all appreciated the wonderful food items donated by Jim’s Meat Market, Benvenuto’s and Willy Street Co-op. Thank you, neighbors, for your kind donations.

In October, the LPNA held a neighborhood pumpkin carving and decorating event in the Kids’ Garden at Troy Community Farm. We enjoyed apple cider and a beautiful, sunny, fall day.

Looking ahead, we are interested in setting a date for a neighborhood-wide garage sale in May 2017. We are particularly interested in having the LPNA date coincide with other Northside neighborhood sales. We would especially like to hear from Brentwood, Mendota Hills, North Lake Mendota and Maple Bluff to see if these neighborhoods would like to coordinate a date.
