There will be entertainment for all ages at the third annual Lakeview Library Palooza Saturday, Oct. 8, 10 am‒3 pm. Highlights will include children’s craft activities, a drum circle and a raptor show. Refreshments will be provided by Willy Street — North. Weather permitting, part of the Northside TownCenter parking lot will be blocked off for events and entertainment.

10 am‒12 pm: a display of safety vehicles, including a fire truck, an ambulance and a police vehicle.

12‒1 pm: The One Sound Community Drum Circle will perform, with Elmore Lawson leading the group.

1‒2 pm: Hoo’s Woods Raptor Center will introduce us to several live raptors. Dianne Moller, founder of the center, is a licensed educator, falconer and rehabilitator who teaches about raptors, the environment and other ecological concerns.

2‒3 pm: Read to a dog. Bring a favorite book and read aloud to a furry friend.

The event will be a great opportunity to meet our new Lakeview librarian, Lesley Kircher, who has worked for the Madison Public Library for 10 years.

Lakeview Library Palooza is organized and paid for by the Friends of Lakeview Library, a group headed by Barbara Karlen, as a special treat for the community.
