Fall is here. Let’s make a pledge, neighborhood by neighborhood, to do right by our lakes and keep leaves out of the streets.
Did you know that leaves contain nutrients like phosphorus that wash into our lakes and cause algae blooms? Just one pound of phosphorus can cause up to 500 pounds of algae.
You can make a difference. Taking care of our lakes in the fall is easy. Just keep your local storm gutters clear, especially when it rains.
