Heritage Credit Union gives back on International Credit Union Day

Heritage Credit Union

Every October credit unions around the world celebrate International Credit Union Day (ICU) to reflect upon our collective history and show gratitude to the members and communities that support us. This year, ICU day was Oct. 20.

Heritage Credit Union teamed up with local businesses to host a “giveback” to people in the community. On the Northside, Heritage employees visited Willy Street-North and Manna Café, where they handed out a total of $300 in gift cards to approximately 40 people. Heritage employees did not solicit customers with any products or services. Our goal was to brighten people’s day with an unexpected gift, support local businesses and raise awareness of locally owned credit unions.

Heritage Credit Union is a not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution that has 11 branches throughout Wisconsin and Illinois. We are owned by people in our communities who borrow and save with us, and we don’t have shareholders. More information about us can be found at HeritageCU.org.
