On Dec.14 more than 10 sewers arrived at Lindbergh Elementary Library to sew hats for all students at the school. These women and men volunteer their time and have made over 55,000 hats for MMSD students.

Students pick their own fabric and design and the Hat Ladies sew the hats together. Choices include Bucky and Packer hats. The Hat Ladies think of everything — they also sew a name tag into every hat.

This was a happy and wonderful thing to watch.
