Groundwork anti-racism workshop finds home on Northside

By Groundwork Madison

This October, individuals from around Madison will gather at Lakeview Lutheran Church to participate in Groundwork Madison’s Anti-Racism Workshop. Over the course of seven weeks, they will examine how racism impacts individuals, institutions and movements for social justice through readings, presentations and creative activities that encourage both self-reflection and collaboration. Each workshop session will address a different topic.

Whether through engaging with America’s history of white supremacy, learning about the work of local organizations led by people of color, or diving into leadership development in order to organize more effectively in the struggle for racial justice, the workshop aims to prepare participants to make an impact within their circles of influence, in big and small ways, every day.

Groundwork Madison is an anti-racism collective working to achieve racial justice and break down white privilege. To learn more about the workshop, visit groundworkmadison.com. Workshop applications are due by Oct. 1.
