Want a fun way to support a great project for seniors? Play golf! The 4th Annual Independent Living Golf Outing is set for Thursday, Sept. 21, the last day of summer. Hosted at University Ridge Golf Course, this popular event has proven to be a delightful day with friendly competition, as well as a great way to network among friends old and new. Fees are $200 per person or $800 for a foursome. Included in the fees are registration, lunch, shotgun start at noon and post-play reception.

“Our 2016 golf event was nearly filled, which meant sponsors had maximum visibility,” said Arlen Moss, Fund Development Director. “Smaller sponsorships are still available for 2017, at $1,500 for a tee sponsor and $500 for a hole sponsor. It’s a great way to have a presence for your business.” Golf registration and sponsorship information is available at www.independentlivinginc.org/support-our-work.html.

Sarah Dunn, a member of the golf organizing committee and director of client strategies for CG Schmidt, said, “We have so much fun planning this event. It’s a complete package: worthy cause, sponsorship opportunities, welcome lunch, 18 holes of golf, friendly competition among players, fantastic course and post-play reception. We welcome and encourage everyone to attend, enjoy themselves and show their support.”

Tennyson Senior Living Community is a much-needed senior housing option for Madison’s northeast side. Located at 1936 Tennyson Lane, the campus will be built in phases. Construction began in May, focusing on a 60-unit, four-story residence, plus health and wellness center and community space with dining, library, grand living room and offices. Also in May was a groundbreaking event. The construction manager for the project is CG Schmidt.

A capital campaign to support Tennyson Senior Living Community is in progress. The intent is to keep financing costs down so the community remains as affordable as possible.
