A huge sidewalk sale of cookbooks will take place in front of Lakeview Library Oct. 6 and 7. From vegetarian to vintage, Pillsbury to Paleo, diet to decadence, Moosewood to meats, there will be something for everyone, be you cook or collector or shopping for gifts.

Two large collections of cookbooks given to Friends of Lakeview Library sparked plans for this stand-alone cookbook sale. Together with others donated by patrons in recent months, shoppers will have more than 1,000 cookbooks from which to choose.

Join us Friday, Oct. 6, 2‒7:30 pm, and Saturday, Oct. 7, 9 am‒3 pm. Lakeview Library is located in Northside TownCenter, 2845 N. Sherman Ave. Most books are priced $2 or less, with a bag sale Saturday, 1‒3 pm. Organized by Friends of Lakeview Library, proceeds will be used to enhance library materials and services.

Donations may still be brought to Lakeview Library at any time and pick up may be arranged upon request. Questions? Contact Pat Tully (249-9105), Barb Karlen (244-5933) or Lakeview Library (246-4547).

The regular quarterly Friends of Lakeview Library book sale will still be held Dec. 8 and 9.
