Friends of Lake View Hill Park
If you or your children want to see live bats up close, come to the annual meeting of the Friends of Lake View Hill Park Saturday, Feb. 11. Jennifer Redell, a state Department of Natural Resources bat expert, will speak and show a few of her friends.
The meeting will take place from 10 am‒12 pm in Conference Room 110 of the Dane County Human Services Building, 1202 Northport Drive.
Redell will be joined by recently appointed Dane County Naturalist Lars Higdon, who will make a presentation on semi-parasitic plants. Higdon will show how to use Wood Betony to suppress reed canary grass.
All members are welcome, as well as those who would like to join the group, which works to preserve and protect the Lake View Hill Conservancy Park, its natural beauty and its historic artifacts.
