Continuing Chinese and Japanese Brush Painting
Mondays, Feb. 26‒March 26, 9‒11:30 am,

Review material from the beginning class and expand your creativity with more emphasis on composition of the painting and landscapes. This class is most appropriate for those who have taken Chinese and Japanese Brush Painting. Materials are provided. Use course #17438 to register at mscr.org.

Art Exploration – Parent Child
Wednesdays, March 14‒April 25, 9:30‒10:15 am or 10:30‒11:15 am,

In this art class for little ones (18 months‒3 years plus an adult), children have fun with new and old art techniques, such as painting, pasting and construction. Each participant is encouraged to engage at his or her own level, from playing with new materials to creating an art treasure to take home. Shibori Dyeing Workshop
Sunday, Feb. 18, 2‒5 pm,

Learn to create textile patterns using the Shibori dyeing process that dates back to 8th century Japan. Prepare the cloth by binding, folding, twisting and compressing the cloth and create patterns with a traditional indigo dye. The cost is $36. Register at

Baseball & Brews Milwaukee Day Trip

Easter Egg Challenge

Too old for the neighborhood egg hunt? Want to take on a challenge with your friends? Join our nighttime Easter egg hunt at a secret Eastside location. Everyone leaves with something sweet, but only the lucky ones find our prize eggs. The cost is $10. Pre-registration is required. Participants must bring a bag and a strong flashlight. Art Institute of Chicago Day Trip
Tuesday, March 27, 7:30 am–8 pm
(ages 6 and older plus adults)
See why the Art Institute of Chicago is among the nation’s top-ranked museums. Motor coach transportation and general admission to the museum are included. Youth age 6-plus may register with a participating adult. The cost is $39 for youth, $59 for age 14 and older. Register by Feb. 20 and save $5. Register at mscr.org.

Chicago Museums Day Trip
Tuesday, March 27, 7:30 am–8 pm
(ages 6 and older plus adults)
Join us on a fun-filled trip to Chicago’s Museum Campus, home to the Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum and Adler Planetarium. Take your pick of which locations to explore. Lunch and admission to the museums are on your own. The cost is $35. Register at mscr.org.
