Cub Scout Pack 127

Cub Scout Pack 127 is the Northside’s action-packed adventure for families with boys first through fifth grade.

Fall is a time of fun and activity for the scouts and families of Pack 127. We welcomed many new families into scouting as school started. The youth and families that join and participate in scouting enjoy outdoor activities and challenging, fun experiences that develop character and prepare our children for success.

Over the last couple of months, the Cub Scouts have enjoyed a Mallards baseball tailgate, pontoon boat ride, zoo trip, an ice-cream social, splash pad trip and lots of additional outdoor games and activities.

In coming months we will be getting outdoors for fall adventures, holding a community campout and getting ready to campout in a cave. We also plan to enjoy educational and fun presentations at our monthly pack meetings.

You may have noticed that scouts have started their annual popcorn fundraiser. It runs from mid-September through October. This has traditionally been our neighborhood pack’s only fundraiser and helps our scouts experience camping and the outdoors. Having the scouts raise funds to support their program is an amazing opportunity for these young people to learn confidence, see the support of the community and work toward being able to attend summer camp.

Do you know a boy in first through fifth grade who would like to have fun learning and adventuring? We are always open to new families and potential scouts. We meet almost every Monday from 6:30‒7:30 pm at Sherman Avenue United Methodist Church. Scouting builds character and opportunity through fun experiences that prepares our children for a lifetime of success.
