2017 Madison FUN Bird and Nature Festival offers fun for the whole family

Nature lovers, students, families and children are invited to the Friends of Urban Nature (FUN) 2017 Madison Earth Day/Arbor Day/Madison Bird City celebration Sunday, April 16, 1‒4 pm, at the Warner Park Rainbow Shelter. This free family friendly event offers something for everyone.

The celebration will feature live raptor presentations by Raptor Education Group, Inc. at 1:30 and 3 pm and a special Arbor Day tree planting at 2:45 pm.

Enjoy hayrides, bird and nature walks, nature group activities, bird bingo (with prizes), pond life and butterflies, tree walks, face painting, bouncy house, egg hunt and John Muir re-enactment. There will be various food carts and live music by Barry Riese (sponsored by Wild Warner).

The celebration is co-sponsored by Madison Parks, Madison Audubon, Wild Warner and many other Madison FUN Friends of Urban Nature environmental groups. Contact 698-0104 for more info or to volunteer to help.
